Part-Time Instructor, Jumpstart Criminal Justice - FY 2025

Job Description

Applications will be considered on an as-needed basis determined by department need. This position may close early if the hiring need is filled or do to volume of applications received.

Responsibilities of a Part-Time Instructor, Jumpstart Criminal Justice include but are not limited to:

Lecture for a variety of criminal justice courses
Course assignments may be multi-campus with the possibility of day or evening classes. Courses may be delivered online and in person
Develop lesson plans, syllabi, and course materials in conjunction with Department Chair
Evaluate student mastery of skills and competencies required by course outcomes
Provide an excellent teaching experience as well as student advisement, recruitment activities and program/curriculum development

Required Qualifications

Master's Degree in Criminal Justice or closely related discipline from an accredited College/University
5 years of experience working directly for a criminal justice agency

Preferred Qualifications

Experience teaching college criminal justice or related courses.
Experience with CANVAS or other online learning management systems.
Flexibility of schedule to teach live classes at any of the three main campuses during the morning, afternoon, or evening.
