What We Are Looking For

Baylor Law School is seeking an Alumni and Advancement Services and Event Coordinator to provide administrative support for the Law Alumni Relations and Advancement team and coordinate alumni events. This position requires confidentiality, a positive attitude, attention to detail, commitment to a quality work product, strong organizational skills, an ability to work independently and proactively, and an ability to learn and work collaboratively as part of a team.

A Bachelor's Degree and two years of relevant work experience is required. Three years of relevant work experience is preferred.

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Required Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:
  • Event planning experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of office management responsibilities, systems, and procedure
  • Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with attention to detail
  • Commitment to maintain confidentiality of all office matters
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to follow through on projects independently
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced environment with a hard-working, dedicated team
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize daily workload
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and to work collaboratively

What You Will Do
  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the Baylor Law School Office of Alumni Relations and Advancement
  • Support the Senior Director of Development and the Advancement team in the pursuit of philanthropic support to Baylor Law School
  • Manage and coordinate the implementation of all Baylor Law School alumni events, including Alumni Weekend, Homecoming activities, alumni receptions, class and affinity group reunions and gatherings, on-campus alumni visits, and special events to honor Baylor Lawyers
  • Assist the Director of Alumni Relations in monitoring and tracking the effectiveness of alumni engagement
  • Maintain alumni records and handle data updates, including updating student involvement and alumni engagement records
  • Utilize internal Baylor software systems such as Vision, EPIC, and Emma to achieve the goals of the Office of Alumni Relations and Advancement
  • Take the lead on logistics for all annual mass solicitations
  • Support the Baylor Law Alumni Association's activities and maintain accurate membership records
  • Maintain and document use of Baylor Law merchandise for Baylor Law constituents
  • Manage the calendar of events and major projects for the Office of Alumni Relations and Advancement
  • Prepare and submit expense reports for Alumni Relations and Advancement staff
  • Process deposits of gifts to University Advancement
  • Submit requests for lists or information from University Advancement to support events, solicitations, or other programmatic needs
  • Book travel for Alumni Relations and Advancement staff
  • Interact positively with alumni, donors, students, and other visitors
  • Hire, manage, and train student workers as needed
  • Maintain knowledge of and comply with Baylor University policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of Baylor University's mission and the needs of the Office of Alumni Relations and Advancement
