Adjunct Professor: Practical Approaches to Business Law (Spring 2025)

Course Description: POS 2014: Practical Approaches to Business Law

This course will examine the functioning of the legal system and the legal relationships a citizen is likely to encounter in business, consumer, and personal activities. Emphasis will be placed on the judicial system, contracts, sales, business organizations, estate planning, wills, and real estate transactions. Readings will include cases and other legal materials.

Qualifications:

Education: The candidate should have a Juris Doctorate, a PhD in Business Law (including ABD) or a master's degree in a business-related field with 30 hours of law school credits. Previous teaching experience is required.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Salary:
Base rate: $3,375.00 per 3 credit course.

Terminal Degree: Adjunct Faculty members who hold a terminal degree shall be paid an additional $300.00.

Hours Expectation:

Spring Semester 2025 (Jan 21st 2025 – May 9th, 2025h)
